Friedensdorf International in Oberhausen is a unique place where around 180 children from war and crisis zones live. Here, they receive medical treatment, rehabilitation, and support to help reintegrate them into their home countries after recovery.

It is fascinating to observe the joy and positivity with which the children embrace life, despite often suffering from severe injuries and physical disfigurements.

Our society can learn a great deal from these children, as here, it does not matter where you come from, what you look like, or what you believe in.

This work focuses precisely on this life-affirming and playful diversity.
